Franko has been managing entities in the business of sports science, technology, and marketing for more than 15 years. He has a knack for pushing first-of-its kind ideas and projects as well as building and enhancing brands around strategic relationships with high-profile influencers.
A sports management expert and lead client director at HIG, Michael has been involved in the active lifestyle and sports business for nearly two decades. His focus and understanding of elite level athlete’s needs, thoughts, and wants has allowed HIG to thrive with its client services.
Shortly after receiving his bachelors degree in finance, Michael moved to the UK where he pursued his MBA. While abroad he had the opportunity to work in the Premier League for Arsenal F.C., in a project marketing role. Once back in the States, Michael turned down opportunities with two professional sports organizations and moved into an entrepreneurial role in the fitness industry. As an owner/operator he helped grow 4 businesses of a global leading fitness franchise. During this time period he also organized a co-op marketing firm to leverage the brands position on the east coast, mostly in the television sector.
Michael has managed projects and partnerships with some of the most dominate sports brands and sporting sponsors in the world within triathlon and other areas of sport. Cardoza is a director in the Human Interest Group’s Boston office.
Matt Smith has been actively involved in business development and endurance sports for over 20 years. He has managed marketing and community relations for multiple businesses. He’s known for building long-term partnerships and a unique blend of performance knowledge combined with a deep understanding of the endurance sports consumer.
His true strength is behind the scenes program management. He was responsible for building the gold standard in cycling science education with Retül University, growing the program from Boulder, CO to offerings on every continent (sans Antarctica).
Throughout his career, Matt has been committed to developing people and coaching and holds a master’s degree in leadership and personal development as well as marketing management. As an athlete himself, he is a 4 time Ironman World Championships qualifier and has raced the 70.3 World Championships 4 times with a top 10 age group finish. Matt is a 9 time USA Triathlon All American.
Craig is an innovative result-oriented, highly inspired, organized professional with solid creative marketing and complex problem-solving skills. A self-starter and creative thinker with a strong sales background who can learn new concepts quickly and build professional relationships based on authenticity, excellent service and clear communication balanced with pragmatism.
He has inspired teams, possess strong planning and engaging presentation skills. Due to his broad background, and attention to detail approach with specific execution he has a particular strength in integrating all aspects of sales and marketing with other operating parts of an organization that meets goals and objectives.
