Tim Don

Olympian and ITU World Champion from Great Britain

As a junior, Tim was soon marked out for great things. His swift and easy running style made him ideally suited to take his place in the new wave of triathletes who used their pace in the third discipline to distance their cycling and swimming peers. Tim had immediate success as a junior, but found himself placing second on too many occasions. As “The Don” moved through the ITU ranks he had a few encounters with injury and bad luck, but still managed to make his way onto the Sydney Olympic team in 2000. There he finished 10th, just behind the great Simon Lessing.

Tim’s success continued with notable wins such as ITU World Cup at St. Anthony’s and World Duathlon Championships against superstar Greg Bennett. Tim as since made it to 2 additional Olympic games and has solidified himself as one of the greatest triathletes in British history. Now on a mission to take on long course triathlon, he finds himself having to learn a new game in some ways. Tim’s relatively quick transition to middle/long course racing has made him a marketed man in any race he enters.  In 2014 he took 3rd at the IM 70.3 World Championships and won Ironman Mallorca (first attempt at IM).  2015 will bring on the challenge of Kona!
