The crew behind ProTri, a division of the Human Interest Group, made a global impact in 2015. Our twelve athlete clients captured the podium in races across North, Central, and South Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and even the Bahamas, with a never-ending supply of professional athleticism, positive attitude, and hard work.

Heather Wurtele – 2nd place at IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, 1st place at the IRONMAN 70.3 North America Championships
Lesley Paterson – 2nd place at XTERRA World Championship, 1st place at XTERRA European, West & Southeast (USA) Championships
Tim Don – 1st place at IRONMAN 70.3 North America and Latin American Championships and IRONMAN 70.3 Monterey
Samuel “Appo” Appleton – 1st place at IRONMAN 70.3 Vineman, Cairns, and Austin, plus 3 other Wins.
Ben Hoffman – 1st place at IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary
Radka Vodickova – 1st place at IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie, plus 7 more podium finishes
Mauricio Mendez – 2nd place at XTERRA Philippines and 3rd place at XTERRA Mexico, 4th place at Xterra World Championships
Craig “Crowie” Alexander – 1st place Geelong 70.3, 2nd Santos International, 2nd Place at IRONMAN 70.3 Vineman and Cairns
Trevor Wurtele – 2nd Place at Penticton Challenge Long-course Triathlon
Our triathletes developed first-rate partnerships with sponsors.
XTERRA champion Mauricio “Mau” Mendez became the newest and youngest member of Muscle Milk® brand’s athlete roster after signing a sponsorship agreement with the parent company CytoSport, Inc. Only 20 years old, Mau had a stand-out year, coming in 4th place at XTERRA World Championship, 3rd at the XTERRA Mexico Championship, and 2nd at XTERRA Philippines.
Ironman Legend Craig Alexander became the face of new anti cramp product by a leading biotech company, FlexPharm, and will serve on their board.
Tim Don, Rachel Joyce, and Paul Matthews joined Team Bravo where they became the international arm of the Brazilian based triathlon team in partnership with Coca-Cola. Human Interest Group played an integral part in helping this team come to fruition and will step aside in 2016 to focus on new projects
We welcomed the next generation of triathlon stars, Ben Hoffman & Samuel Appleton.
Ben Hoffman joined Human Interest Group/Professional Triathlon in early 2015 after placing second at the 2014 IRONMAN World Championships. Hoffman’s journey through the triathlon ranks has shown steady success, and 2016 promises more gains.
With IRONMAN 70.3 victories at Vineman, Cairns, and Austin, Samuel “Appo” Appleton enjoyed a banner 2015 season and signed onto the Human Interest Group/Professional Triathlon team in July.
